Teaching
Through private, individualized one-on-one instruction, I strive for each student to find their voice through the flute by gaining confidence with technique and musicality.

Lesson Structure:
Lessons will be tailored to the needs of the student, and their goals as a musician.
Students learn how to apply the physical components of breath support and posture in order to succeed with the musical properties. I provide a strong emphasis on sound and tone production, as well as the often neglected importance of posture.
By applying music history and theory, students will learn how to thoughtfully practice essential and advanced musical elements, including rhythm, tone, and style. This will be supported through the instruction of flute method books and flute repertoire.

My teaching philosophy is founded in the importance of trust between student and teacher, curiosity and the building of the musician, as well as the flutist.
