Teaching
Through private, individualized one-on-one instruction, I strive for each student to find their voice through the flute by gaining confidence with technique and musicality. My flute studio welcomes all students, adult and youth, beginner and beyond. Lessons are engaging, and we work together as a team to support your flute and musical dreams and goals! I work through a variety of flute methods and resources and curate an individualized lesson plan and resources for each student.
✨ Lessons are tailored to the needs of the student, and their goals as a musician.
✨ Students learn how to apply the physical components of breath support and posture in order to succeed with the musical properties. I provide a strong emphasis on sound and tone production, as well as the often neglected importance of posture.
✨ By applying music history and theory, students will learn how to thoughtfully practice essential and advanced musical elements, including rhythm, tone, and style. We work on practice strategies with caregiver support and create an evolving practice plan for the evolving flutist and human. This will be supported through the instruction of flute method books and flute repertoire.

✨ My teaching philosophy is founded in the importance of trust between student and teacher, curiosity and the building of the musician and person, as well as the flutist.
